Semana de los estilos decorativos: estilo rústico. - Week of decoration styles: rustic style.

Hoy el post lo dedicaremos al estilo rústico. Podemos encontrar múltiples estilos rústicos: desde el rústico americano propio de las cabañas y con reminiscencias del viejo oeste, pasando por el rústico provenzal, nórdico o alpino, rústico campestre de pueblos de interior, rústico castellano... Cada zona y cada país tienen sus propias interpretaciones de lo rústico. Si nos centramos en España, tenemos el estilo rústico de masías, casonas, caseríos, fincas, cabañas...

Today's post will be devoted to the rustic style. We can find multiple rustic styles: the american rustic, so typical of huts and with some reminiscences of the far west; the provenzal rustic, be it Nordic or Alpine; the countryside rustic of inland villages; the Castillian rustic... Every area and every country has its own interpretation of the rustic style. If we focus on Spain, we have the rustic style of masías, casonas, caseríos, fincas, cabañas...

Pero lo que es común a todos ellos es el uso abundante de la piedra y la madera, las viguerías de madera,  el hierro en mobiliario y herrajes y los materiales y elementos naturales como el barro, el mimbre y otras fibras naturales, la piel, el fuego...

But what all these styles have in common is the intensive use of stone and wood, the wooden girders, the iron in furniture and iron-works, and the materials and natural elements as mud, wicker and other natural fibers, skins, fire...
