Un baño nuevo con Ikea - A new bath with Ikea

El otro día, publiqué un post con un baño precioso en azules y grises de estilo elegante y contemporáneo en el que os daba ideas para conseguirlo (si os lo perdisteis podéis verlo en esta entrada dec&you). Hoy, cambiamos de estilo a un estilo más funcional, moderno y económico.

Some other day I published a post with a nice bathroom in blue and gray, with an elegant and contemporary style in which I gave you ideas to achieve it (if you missed it you can see it in this dec&you entry). Today, we change style to a more functional, modern, and economic one.

Gracias a Ikea podemos decorar los baños a buen precio. Ese es el valor añadido de esta firma y la razón de su éxito. El mobiliario de baño y de cocina tiene una excelente calidad-precio además de una funcionalidad intachable y unas posibilidades de combinación muy amplias.

As I have already told you before, thanks to Ikea we can decorate at very good prices. This is the added value of this company and the reason for its success. In fact, the bathroom and kitchen furniture has an excellent price-quality ratio, as well as a perfect functionality and a very wide range of allowable combinations.

Hoy os traigo un ejemplo de ello con "un antes y un después" de un baño que gracias a Ikea se viste diferente.

Today I bring you an example of it all with a "Before-and-After" for a bathroom which, thanks to Ikea, gets a very different look.

Ya veis que es una apuesta al "todo al blanco" con un ligero toque de verde y negro. Si tenéis que renovar el suelo y las paredes de vuestro viejo baño, con un sencillo y económico azulejo blanco para las paredes y uno para el suelo sería suficiente para renovarlo de este modo. E incluso (aunque no quede igual de perfecto) si andáis apurados de presupuesto y con pocas ganas de obras, una mano de pintura blanca especial para azulejos podría también conseguir un efecto similar por menos precio aún y sin obras (os dejo enlace a un tutorial de Titanlux por si os interesa esta última opción).

You can see that this it is an "all on the white" bet, with a light touch on green and black. If you have to renovate the floor and the walls of your old bathroom, a simple and economic white tile for the walls, and another one for the floor, would be enough to renovate it this way. And, even though the result will not be as perfect, if you have a tight budget and you don't feel like undertaking a lot or work, a white paint for tiles might also get a similar effect for a lower price and less work (I give you a link to Titanlux tutorial in case you are interested in this option).

Como veis, por menos de 1.300 € tendréis prácticamente vestido el baño.

Videotour decorativo de una planta sótano muy aprovechada - Decoration video-tour about a very well-spent basement

Hoy os traigo de nuevo un vídeo-tour decorativo de la mano de Hause&Home en el que nos muestran una planta baja de una vivienda individual en Toronto (Canadá).

Today I bring you again a decoration video-tour from Hause&Home in which we can see a ground floor of a single-family house in Toronto (Canada).

Se trata de un sótano muy aprovechado en el que se ha ubicado una sala de estar de diario, una zona de lavandería, una cama abatible para cuando se tienen invitados y que cuando no se usa se integra en la decoración y un baño para que el invitado se sienta como en su casa o para no tener que subir escaleras cuando la familia hace uso de la sala de estar.
It is a very well-spent basement with a living room, a laundry zone, a guest tip-up bed which joins the decoration when not in use, and a bathroom for guests or for the family not to have to go upstairs when using the living room.

La decoración, de estilo contemporáneo, sigue un esquema cromático perfecto donde el blanco ocupa un 60% del espacio (necesario para dotar de luminosidad a una estancia de una planta baja), el beige o la madera ocupa un 30% otorgando calidez pero sin restar claridad al ser una color claro y un 10% lo ocupan ciertos toques de verde en cojines y alguna butaca.

The decoration, in a contemporary style, follows a perfect chromatic scheme where white takes about 60 % of the space (necessary to provide luminosity to a stay in a ground floor); beige or wood takes another 30 %, assuring warmth but without reducing clarity, being it a clear colour; and the remaining 10 % goes to certain touches in green used in cushions and some armchair.

Habitaciones infantiles y papeles pintados - Children rooms and wallpapers

Me encanta buscar inspiraciones para decorar habitaciones infantiles! Quizás sea porque son las habitaciones de la casa más encantadoras, divertidas, soñadoras, delicadas e inocentes pero también seguro que tiene que ver con que son las estancias que más evolucionan y en las que debemos y podemos disfrutar de cambiar la decoración cada cierto tiempo según van creciendo nuestros hijos. Y no lo voy a negar: cambiar la decoración, la posición de los muebles o las telas cada cierto tiempo es algo que me encanta!

I love to search for inspirations to decorate children rooms! Maybe because they are the most charming, funny, dreamy, delicate, playful and innocent rooms of our homes. But, probably, it also has something to do with the fact of them being the rooms which evolve the most, and on these rooms we can frequently enjoy changing the decoration as our children grow. And, why not accept it, changing the decoration, the distribution of the furniture, or the fabrics is something I like a lot!

Hoy os traigo varias inspiraciones de habitaciones infantiles con decoraciones de diferentes estilos (para que podáis elegir). Y os las he acompañado con ideas concretas de papeles pintados para que podáis conseguir un estilo o look similar.

Today I bring to you several inspirations for children rooms, with decorations on different styles (so you can choose the one that best fits your personal tastes). I have also attached specific ideas on wallpapers so that you can achieve a similar look or feel.

Para hacer realidad estas inspiraciones me he vuelto a trasladar a mi tienda Leroy Merlín más cercana y os he hecho una selección de los papeles pintados que me gustan de entre todos los que tienen (no todo me gusta, por supuesto, pero con lo que me gusta ya hay para mucho). Por si os ha entrado la duda, no llevo comisión alguna aunque, con la publicidad que les hago y el trabajo que me lleva no estaría mal, ¿verdad? Jajaja!. Diréis que siempre os digo lo mismo pero es que me gusta mucho esta tienda por su buen precio, por la variedad de revestimientos y por su buena forma de presentación de los mismos. Y también, y no menos importante, porque me es una firma práctica ya que me permite haceros recomendaciones que están al alcance de vuestras manos porque tiene muchos establecimientos repartidos por la geografía española. Y no sólo en mi país sino también en Francia, Grecia, Portugal, Italia, Chipre, Polonia, Rusia, Turquía, Rumanía, Ucrania, Brasil y China.

In order to turn this inspirations into a reality, I went again to the nearest Leroy Merlín store, and I selected some wallpapers I specially liked among the many they have on offer (of course, not everything they offer I like it, but with the things I like there is already a lot to choose from) In case you had any doubt, I am not on a commission basis with them, though, given the publicity I give them and all the time it takes to do it, it wouldn't do any harm, would it? Ha, ha, ha! You can object that I am always telling you the same story once and again, but the truth is that I like that store a lot, because of the good prices, the variety of coverings on offer, and the good presentation of it all. And last, but not least, because it is a practical firm that allows me to make recommendations that are within your reach, as it has a lot of stores spread all over the Spanish territory. And not only in my country, but also in France, Greece, Portugal, Italy, Cyprus, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Romania, Ukraine, Brazil and China.

Rústico contemporáneo de lujo - Luxury contemporary-rustic style

Es increíble cómo un continente del más puro carácter rústico puede combinarse con un contenido al más puro estilo moderno.

It's amazing how a container in the purest of rustic styles can combine with contents in the purest of modern styles.

La casa que visitamos hoy es espectacular y privilegiada por sus dimensiones y arquitectura rústica de piedra de mampostería y techos a dos aguas altísimos con vigas de madera. Pero también lo es por su brillante interpretación del minimalismo moderno con infinitas paredes desnudas encaladas en blanco, cemento pulido en el suelo,  grandes ventanales libres de cortinas y un escaso mobiliario de líneas puras y rectas con materiales como la madera y el acero.

The house we will be visiting today is spectacular, and favoured by its dimensions, and by its rustic architecture of masonry stone with gabled roofs providing the highest of ceilings resting on wood girders. But it is also spectacular because of the brilliant interpretation of the modern minimalism with infinite, nake, whitewashed walls; polished concrete in the floor; large, curtain-free windows ; and a scanty furniture of pure and straight lines made of materials as wood and steel.

La casa, de más de 300 años de antigüedad y situada en Italia necesitó un tiempo de restauración de cuatro años nada menos ya que estaba muy dañada y hubo que restaurar la mampostería y reemplazar la estructura de madera.

The house, more than 300 years old and located in Italy, needed a time for restoration of no less than four years because it was very damaged and it was necessary to restore the masonry and replace the wooden framework.
