Una vivienda ecléctica con aires hippies - A eclectic house with a hippie breath

La vivienda que os muestro hoy es completamente distinta a la última (en la variedad está el gusto, ¿no creéis?) . Es una vivienda de estilo ecléctico a la que yo le veo muchos soplos de aire hippie. Una vivienda informal, colorista, que reúne bajo un mismo techo piezas étnicas, vintage, recuperadas o traídas de viajes.

The house that I show you today is completely different from the last one (in the variety is the pleasure). It is a house of eclectic style which I see many hippie air blowings him. An informal and colouristic house, that it has under a same ceiling ethnic, vintage and recovered pieces or even brought of trips.

Tiene 135 m2 cuadrados, consta de 3 dormitorios y 2 baños y se encuentra en Dallas.

Curiosa hilera de sillas vintage alineadas con estuches para cosméticos y un reproductor de discos portátil antiguo.

Vintage chairs are paired with luggage, thrift-shop cosmetic cases and an antique portable record player. 

 La cocina mantiene el sabor antiguo con la utilización de azulejos de metro blancos para las paredes y negros para el mostrador de obra.

The kitchen maintains the old flavor with the white subway tile for the walls and black for the worktop.

 El baño lo protagoniza el espejo en mosaico blanco y negro.

The mirror in black and white mosaic is most important piece of the bathroom.

 Muebles recuperados de herencia y paredes pintadas en negro que hacen que las piezas destaquen tanto por su color como por su textura.

Recovered furniture of inheritance and walls in black maked that the pieces emphasize so much by their color as by their texture.

Pura sofisticación: estilo urban-chic. - Pure sophistication: urban-chic style.

Hoy os voy a acercar a un estilo que, decorativamente hablando, es un estilo elegante, sofisticado y muy internacional: lo que yo denominaría urban/chic. Es un estilo de alta factura con muebles valiosos y materiales nobles. 
Today I am going to you to approach a style that is an elegant, sophisticated and very international style: I would denominate it urban/chic. It is a style of high invoice with valuable furniture and rich materials.

De la mano de la decoradora inglesa Kelly Hoppen, especializada en este estilo, y con grandes trabajos en su haber, os voy a mostrar unos ejemplos de algunos de sus mejores proyectos. 

Of the hand of the English decorator Kelly Hoppen  specialized in this style, and with great works maked, I am going to show some examples to you of some of its better projects.

Como habéis visto en las fotos, este estilo se caracteriza por el uso de colores sobrios, la ausencia de estampados, el uso de telas ricas como el terciopelo, las chenillas y las sedas, grandes cortinajes y colchas posando ampliamente en el suelo, líneas rectas en los muebles, grandes alfombras lisas de acabo aterciopelado o natural y enormes lámparas... 
This style is characterized by the use of sober colors, the absence of printings, the rich fabric use like the velvet, chenillas and silks, great fabrics and bedspreads putting widely in the ground, straight lines in the furniture, great smooth carpets finished on velvety or natural material and enormous lamps…

Un estilo muy internacional, elegante y sobrio, entre moderno y contemporáneo pero sumamente cuidado y sofisticado.

Rincones con mucho estilo y personalidad - Corners by far style and personality

Muchas veces una, cuando ve cientos y cientos de fotografías de decoración, no deja de sorprenderse cómo, muchas veces, aquellos lugares y rincones muchas veces más sencillos y desbaratados, llenos de piezas viejas pero bien coordinadas, con profusión de objetos personales dejados a la vista, descuidada o intencionadamente, son los que precisamente más llaman mi atención.
Often, when I see hundreds and hundreds of decoration photographies, I don't stop being surprised how, often, those places and corners simpler and shabbys, full of old pieces but good coordinated, profusely of lazy personal objects in view, neglected or deliberately, are those that indeed the more draw my attention.

Seguramente porque en su imperfección y en su habitual muestra de objetos personales está precisamente lo que hace de estos ambientes algo único, vivido, personal, humano... Lo que nos atrae de ellos es precisamente su imperfección, la muestra serena de sus arrugas y sus historias, lo mismo que nos atrae de las personas cuando se muestran sin dobleces, tal y como son. Son rincones que expresan y reflejan la identidad y carácter de sus dueños, la humanidad de su existencia y el calor y el color de su morada... 
Surely because in its imperfection and its habitual sample of personal objects, it is indeed what does of these atmospheres somewhat unique, lived, personal, human… What it attracts us of them is indeed his imperfection, the calm sample of his wrinkles and their histories, just like attracts to us of the people when they are without lies, as they are. They are corners that express and reflect the identity and character of their owners, the humanity of their existence and the heat and the color of their home…
