El color gris es un color neutro por definición pero cuando se usa en su tonalidad oscura adquiere matices más fuertes que los de los colores neutros al uso.

El color gris oscuro es un color sosegado y a la vez atrevido, sofisticado y moderno pero sin estridencias, fácilmente combinable y de poco cansar. Aunque muchas veces pueda ser considerado a priori como un color triste, serio y con poca vida, nada más lejos de la realidad si está bien coordinado.

El color gris oscuro combina muy bien con blancos, grises y azules claros (que le dan luminosidad y elegancia) y con negros (que le dan fuerza y sofisticación) pero también combina bien con colores subidos e intensos que compensan su seriedad dándole alegría y vivacidad como por ejemplo el verde, el pistacho, el naranja, el amarillo, el rojo y los rosas. Y si lo que queremos es darle la calidez que le falta un truco es combinarlo con materiales naturales como la madera natural y el mimbre así como con colores marrones claros.

Un Candy Bar (barra de golosinas) para tus celebraciones - A Candy Bar for your celebrations

¿Conocéis lo que es un Candy Bar? En el post de hoy os traigo unas imágenes de un Candy Bar, que tuve la suerte de disfrutar en primera persona, con el cual, gracias a la buena mano y el gran gusto de mi gran amiga (casi hermana) y compañera de fatigas Cristina, se ambientó y agasajó a todos los invitados asistentes a la comunión de su niño.

Un bote para los mensajes: ¡qué gran idea!. Cuando menos es más - When less it is more

El post de hoy va dedicado a Mauri. El otro día hablando con él me manifestó sus gustos a la hora de decorar y la verdad es que es una filosofía que sé que comparte mucha gente. Mauri apuesta por los espacios con pocos muebles, sin recargar, despejados y prácticos así que cuando descubrí esta casa pensé en él y en aquellos que gustan de espacios sencillos, ligeros y con pocos muebles. Aunque pueda parecer que el recurso de poner pocos muebles o accesorios decorativos en una casa puede hacer que ésta se vea sosa, con esta casa os quiero demostrar que no, que el uso del color y la elección de materiales puede hacer que una casa con los muebles justos y necesarios pueda lucir bella y acogedora.

Mauri like the spaces with few furniture, without recharging, clear and practical so, when I discovered this house, I thought about him and about those that they like simple, light spaces and with few furniture. Though it could seem that the resource of putting few furniture or decorative accessories in a house can do that this one meets bad, with this house I you want to demonstrate that not, that the use of the color and the choice of materials can do that a house with the just and necessary furniture could seem beautiful and cozy.

Se llama Villa Cecile y, como la del post dec&you de ayer, está en la Provenza francesa.

Villa is called Cecile and, as that of the post dec&you of yesterday, is in the French Provence.

Como veis la sencillez en el amueblamiento de esta casa se ha compensado con otros recursos para obtener calidez y que la casa no resulte sosa como son: el uso de los colores tostados subidos y del negro para dar intensidad y el uso de materiales naturales con textura como el mimbre o rafia en las lámparas y sillas de la cocina, el pelo de los cojines del salón junto con la madera sin tratar y la alfombra colorida en el salón, los lavabos y encimeras de piedra en los baños, y las telas en los dormitorios.

The simplicity in the furnitures of this house it has been compensated by other resources to obtain warmth and that the house does not turn out to be bored. Me gusta la decoración de esta villa de alquiler vacacional por su elegancia, la serenidad de los colores elegidos (blancos, beiges y tierras), la elección de pocos pero muy bien escogidos muebles de estilo ligero y contemporáneo que combinan muy bien con el continente rústico de paredes de mampostería y estuco y con los techos con vigas de madera que, además, resultan muy ligeras debido a su curiosa forma circular.

Vuelvo de nuevo!!! - I return again!!!

Hola a todos. Ya estaréis acostumbrados a mis idas y venidas pero se acumulan tantas tareas decorativas y docentes en mi mesa que muchas veces no doy para más. Ya siento haber estado missing durante un tiempo pero, ha sido un mes difícil de trabajo: muchas incursiones buscando piezas para encargos decorativos y mucho trabajo docente derivado de los muchos cambios y muchos nuevos objetivos con el plan Bolonia que me han tenido muy ocupada. Ahora, acabado el calendario docente ya sólo les queda a mis alumnos su trabajo preparándose para los exámenes y yo tengo una jornada más normal que me permitirá estar más tiempo con vosotros. Estoy deseando retomar mis apuntes decorativos!!!

Hello to all!  I am sorry to have been missing during a time but, it has been a difficult month of work: many incursions looking for pieces for decorative orders and a lot of educational work derived from many changes and many new aims with the plan Bologna that they me have had very busy. Sin embargo hoy, con vuestro permiso, me voy a permitir una licencia y no voy a hablar de decoración. Hoy quiero compartir con vosotros una imagen que me ha cautivado y que tiene más que ver con mis emociones y con esa otra vena mía que es la comunicación, el marketing y la imagen. Es una foto que tiene dos autores, sus protagonistas, y uno de ellos es un chico conocido por mí, adolescente, gran persona, gran artista y gran profesional premiado del baile deportivo (más conocido por baile de salón, otra de mis pasiones confesas).  Es una foto espontánea fruto del amor pero que tiene una fuerza comunicativa y estética que me ha conquistado.

¿Os ha gustado tanto como a mí? ¿No os evoca a vuestro primer amor adolescente (ese que nunca se olvida, dicen)? ¿Os transmite la belleza de los sentimientos a flor de piel de esa edad tan maravillosa...? Pero además de lo que pueda transmitir, de la pureza de las emociones que refleja, a mí también me ha encantado porque creo que tiene una fuerza estética impresionante y un notable acierto fotográfico; la veo perfectamente encabezando cualquier campaña de comunicación de cualquier marca de ropa de renombre. ¿No creéis? 
O... volviendo a la decoración, la veo en un enorme lienzo colgado de una pared.

Espero que os haya transmitido lo mismo que a mí y que os haya hecho soñar con la belleza del amor en toda su intensidad.
